This month we are participating in the neighbor-to-neighbor campaign for the March of Dimes. It’s great thing to do, especially if you like to visit with your neighbors. The March of Dimes sends a kit sometime in February with about 20 of your neighbor’s names and addresses listed. The kit contains envelopes, cards and thank you notes. You can set a neighborhood goal; ours is $35 (we’ll work hard to exceed that!). You can either mail these cards with a note asking for a few dollars donation or go to your neighbor’s houses and speak with them.
We just visited with about half of our neighbors this weekend and are going to send the remaining cards to the others in the mail. By the end of month, we will have collected important contributions to send to the March of Dimes. For very little time and effort, you can make a big impact. These funds will help so many families who have premature babies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies. Our family has been affected by these issues several times, so we know first-hand that the March of Dimes can really help to give more babies the chance for a healthy start in life!
